Fe207e in Oris System (BD-Design)

Hi thomas,

i'm just finishing my la scala diy bass horns. i still need somethin for
the higher frequencies, so i thought about the oris 150.

Good idea, that will work well but...

now im asking myself if the 207 is as recommended as the 206 to drive them
in the oris 150 ??? what are differences in sound?

The FE207E's have a weaker magnet system and a frequency response too flat for use in the Oris horns. You will need to add a tweeter for the high frequencies above 8-10kHz for some freshness.

would the combination of la scala and oris 150 with fe207 work out or do i
have to make some modifications?

The mounting ring needs to modified to fit the Fostex drive units (see picture - similar to what is needed for the FE206E's) and a tweeter will be needed for more freshness in the sound.
