Good morning!

Thanks for reply Bert.

The horns are directive and pretty clear regarding the time domain
reproduced. These reasons gives the system a relative small sweetspot.

Agree - regarding listening to horn speaker, this is an inherent issue.

With an AER driver this problem is less but still present. The PM6A's do
not have the real magnet strength and high frequency extention (similar to
the Fostex FE206E's) so that you only have high frequencies pretty much on
axis, off-axis makes them sound more dull due to this.

Exact! I'ts the "dull-sound" which i became aware regarding the Lowther's...hopefully this will mostly vanish with the appropriate AER drivers and the sweet spot will be significant wider than before?

3m is pretty short distance, further away opens the sound (more
reflections from the room) making the sweetspot wider. You can remove the
MDF back cover and the woolfelt circle to open the sound for your
listening distance. This gives less body to the sound but with the PM6A's
this would not be much of a problem.
Let me know your experiences with this "test"...

I'll test it this evening!

Thanks again for your support!

Thomas
