Singular cabinet? (Singular)

Hi Bert,

The first enclosures I made were Voight Pipes. They didn't sound very good.

So I built a large pair of boxes styled after something that Terry Cain had experimented with. I found his musings archived on a speaker forum, I don't remember which one. Anyway while they performed better I still am not happy with them. In fact I'm not presently even listening to them.

It's possible that my office where they reside is not a good room for them I don't know. I built bass traps and first reflection absorbers for them but they still don't sound like I'd like them to. I should probably take them out in the livingroom and try them. That is a much larger space.

I guess you'd say I'm disappointed in them. They just don't sound like I'd hoped they would. My little 2 watt SET amp is in a closet and I'm back listening to my 21 year old Carver receiver & my 25 year old Infinity speakers. :(

As you'll see below I've shared some pictures of my latest cabinets for the DX-3's. Their big, and their pretty, they just don't sound so hot. :(
