Have a look at this, a small sealed enclosure deliberately driven below resonance with an active filter before the amplifier with gain from unity at resonance increaasing as you go down in frequency. I haven't finished mine yet so I can't tell you how it sounds. Will save a lot of space for you but you need a very tough cabinet and driver
