Hi Tom,

Looking at the driver is seems to me that these were used/stored for a while in a very dusty environment. As the driver is modified (one of them is the removed protection screen at the front of the driver) it is very possible that the driver is dirty on the inside.

Best would be to send me that driver so that I can check and clean it to be sure that all is working properly in the end.

I do hope that you did not pay too much money for what you've received!
