Speaker Wire (Silver vs. Copper) (BD-Design)

Hi Hat,

i'm curious, how tight/loose do you typically twist your wires? how many
turns per meter or foot?

I don't count, I just twist them...the reason for me is to have the ground twisted around the positive lead thinking that its reducing picking up signals and distortion from the air. Probably increasing the capacity but that will only effect frequencies not provided by my system...

Mostly there are other things having much more effect to the quality of your sound and perception. Use good sounding and clean contacts (allthrough the system), try to move the speakers 1 feet closer or further away, exchange the spikes under them or replace them for cones, clean your records properly (like done with a Nitty Gritty), move the table in front of you that reflects the sound in between you and the system, close or open the curtains if you have them, get a good mains filter (sound wise, not review wise...), etc...

Enjoy the music... ;-)

Ciao,

Bert
