Onken response (BD-Design)

Hi Russell,

What baffle dimensions would you propose. What type of filter -
symetrical second order?

The width of the Onken and the height as you please. The driver should be at earlevel. You could make angled wings to the sides to spread the cancelling between the front and back of the driver. Just make it visual nice and tune the filter to that what you've build.

What type of enclosure? IB or BR? Would one of the Fostex L-Pads be
suitable?

Open baffle or a short TL (also open at the back but then filled with damping material). Any L-Pads are usable, their principle is the same. Better would be with fixed resistors though...

Which would be your pick for the better solution - the 103 or the
207?[/i]

The 207 could be crossed lower and has more "reserve", the 103 will sound more open and free.

Ciao,

Bert
