Ooops... that was a little mistake about factor 1000 ;)
As I'm a total newbie in eletronics, I wonder what effect would that have
? They don't sound that badly... ?

So it's going to be even better :-) when replacing the caps. Don't use the ceramic cap that is on the picture. Find some nice film caps. I think Bert recommends Jupiter bee wax caps, very good but expensive ($18 each). On the site of Tony Gee you can find some test results of different caps (Cap Test).

I did some simulation on the filter components you used.

The filter has become a 4dB notch filter around 200Hz. This will not make your speakers sound bad but this is not the purpose of a BSC filter.

Using the right cap will look like this:

The simulation is not really accurate but gives a good impression of what is going on.

Could that little bastard be the right thing:

It seem's to be somewhat "small"...

P.S. The zobel filter shown on the simulation schematic is not doing anything (R is set to 150k).
