is it so that if you dont chance the capacitors
that i can tune the filter only by resisor values?
Yes, you can change the resistor values (within limits) to change the filter setting. But this will also change the gain of the signal. This means that when you change the resistor value that you do 3 things at the same time:
- changed filter character (the Q)
- changed the gain (up or down)
- changed the crossover frequency
Stick to changing the capacitor values only, that will make things more easy.
Most important is to listen for several days to different genres of music after you have changed a filter value with 20% or less before you change things again. This to prevent that you're running in circles without learning what you're doing...
Take your time and do 1 thing at the time.
