Voices still coming from far away (Off Topic)

by GC, Wednesday, October 26, 2005, 08:27 (6756 days ago)

Hello,

I noticed now that all the voices (on different) tracks come from far behind of the rest of the "music". What cause this? I tried several things to improve the sound (phase reverse of oris and bass, mains phase reverse of CDply and amp.,..) - always the same. With reverse mains phase of amp and reverse phase of oris I improved the clearity of sound and now is ok.
Thanks all who helped me - especaly Mr. B!:Y:
Please any advice is more than welcome.

BTW:
Now I am using bass amp with in-build crossover and the inegration between oris and bass is not so bad like it could be, but still bass is not clean enough and it is too soft. Could this create this "voice" problems?

I will go with filter sugested from Bert (I have made some calculations for R and C values to start with) and two monoblocks in near future.:D

Best regards,

Gasper.

Where do the voices sit if you turn off the bass speakers completely?

The "voices" are a little bit in a front then. I suspect that bass make this feeling of "back voices"?

Hi Gasper

Have you tried running the 'subs' on their own. Adjust the toe-in till their image is where you want it.
Then repeat with the horns alone.
And finally when they are both singing from the same point then put them both on.
You may need to check the phase performance again at the end.;-)

Cheers Chris

Thank you very much. I'll try.
