Oris 200 Rear Chamber ?

Hi Hat,

Are there major differences in performance between the short and long rear
chambers of the 200 horn?

Better loading of the driver and therefore more easy to integrate with the bass system if used with AER or Lowther drive units (old type)...

The Fostex FE206E's might like the short ones better to prevent that the sound becomes to "bold" with original back chamber configuration.

Ciao,

Bert

Thanks for the quick response! I have to ask... when you you sleep? You are always so prompt in you replys!!!

This is good to know.

When the time comes to upgrade my drivers, does an option exist to extend the chamber to match the current specs? Or am I looking a either, a) deconstructing my current horns to replace the entire rear chamber assembly; or b) purchasing a new pair of horns.

Just trying to see what lies down the road for me.

Meanwhile, I'm enjoying the music :-D
Cheers,
Mike

I am not always prompt, sometimes people are lucky... :)

You can purchase the new Oris 200 chambers as upgrade. If all was constructed as described in the Manual then you should be able to remove the old chamber from the horn and mounting ring without too much problems.

Ciao,

Bert
