Construction Question on the BD15 Ref (BD-Design)

Can the boxes for the BD15 be constructed out of 3/4 inch MDF and the wrapped with 1/2 inch hardwood plywood? I was thinking of epoxying the plywood after construction to get arround having to use veneers. I am hoping that it will contribute to a stronger box as well.

I would skip the MDF altogether. Particle board is much better in this application. I think in Archives you can find reference to Bert saying that Particle board will provide the tuning he has designed into this speaker, use other material at your own risk. Particle board layers glued together yield a hefty and strong box. I deviated by putting a 3/4 inch layer of hardwood glued to 1/2 inch Particle board on the front panel only. The Particle board surface is actually quite interesting when clearcoated with Diamond waterbase varathane.
