PC - CD with Behringer DCX2496 (BD-Design)

by GC, Sunday, June 05, 2005, 11:34 (6894 days ago)

Hello everybody,

i'am using a Behringer DCX2496 digital crossover in my system with an "normal" CD Player. Has anybody experience how it works with an PC based system like Bert does? How can i make an AES/EBU output for the PC - do I need a special soundcard?

Volumecontrol is made by an 6x Poti at the outputs of the Behringer.

Thanks to all.

Hi Johannes

I am using USB as output going into a DAC where the data is converted to an audiostream. I do not know how to address the digital signal from the PC into AES/EBU so that the machine understands the data. It would be nice not to need an extra DAC and go straigth into the Behringer...

I can't help you with that. Perhaps it would help to ask Behringer?

Ciao,

Bert

I output digital to a Behringer 8024 with an E-mu 0404 soundcard. I can choose between AES/EBU and SPDIF. It doesn't really seem to make a difference. I output AES/EBU, with a small resistance network (for better SPDIF compatibility), from the 8024 to an external DAC. The 8024 and the external DAC (battery powered non-os) make a big difference. I wouldn't have it any other way.
