CrazyV (discontinued)
Transparent, clean and dynamical sounding transformer based passive pre-amplifier with remote stepped volume control and mute function.

Why using transformers over normal stepped attenuators using resistors? Transformers offer much less signal loss and provide a much lower output impedance (10 times lower than regular stepped attenuators!) thus it will show a much wider frequency response at any attenuation setting. Besides that, the CrazyV as presented here is build up with the best possible parts (mechanically and soundwise!) using:

  • The highest quality transformers with 22 steps (< 0,5% tolerance) with a very high inductance (450 Henry or equivalent to 50Kohm)
  • Extreme high quality Shallco stepped input and volume switches for the best contacts (and the years to come)
  • The shortest signal path possible and build up for optimal channel separation
  • Optimal for use with the CrazyT (PC DAC)CrazyA (Amplifier) and our own loudspeaker systems
  • Heavy duty black Anodized Aluminum luxury housing
