Bass System Question?? (BD-Design)

First day on the forum here.

I purchased a pair of Altec drivers on ebay and plan to build the bass
cabinets but in the meantime I've mounted my 150's with PM4/AER
temporarily and using an external powered sub and it sounds great!

You'll be surprised how much better it gets with you Altec drivers... perhaps not sub bass but at least far more dynamic in the mid bass.

Is anyone using external power sub or two in their system? Could this be
premanent?

You tell me when you've tried the other woofers...
