Since the the BD30 takes a speaker-level input...does it attenuate this to
get to line level prior to amplification? I would imagine if so, the...

The input sensitivity of the BD30 is high enough to be used with the passive line-filters (attenuating the gain to line-level) where there is still +12dB gain left to play with.

Also, how much gain will your new digital filter add via its active line
stage?

I don't know but it should be enough to make up for the loss.
