Oris 200 Compact crossover point (BD-Design)

I am going to try to use a accuphase F15 for my Oris 200 with MD2 driver. I am going to use 290Hz as the crossover point, what are the pros and con of such a arrangement? i am using a Muse 100 SE amplifier for the bass and also microzotl for the MD2 drivers.

Advantages: optimal protection agains mechanical damage when playing deep frequencies very loud (usually with HT) and much less power from the amplfier needed.
Disadvantages: changed phase/time behaviour around the crossover frequency and extra components in the signal path.
