Keeping promisses and me...? (BD-Design)

by GC, Monday, May 14, 2007, 08:59 (6201 days ago)

Forumers... :friends:

Sorry for this post as I promissed to say nothing :rules: about what Bert is comming up with. :attention:

But let me give you all a piece of advice:

Don't invest in any amps for a while.

Don't buy a CD player ever.

Now I warned you. And don't ask me anything. Just be patient and await what Masters from Holland have in their sleeves for you in due time. :clapping:

Ivo

Oh yes Ivo...

They are sweating to get it finished and I had an occation to listen to the whole thing this week-end. All together on my own speakers and in my own environment.

Thats why I would like to encourrage all to hold their breath if any should have in mind spending money on amps and CD players.

Ah... So that's where Bert went...

He he...

I "heard" he was around this neighbourhood together with a certain angel who's player is just around the corner to be useful to most. :pleasantry:

Ah...but Ivo. The guys have much more in their sleeves than one could think of.
They are full of secrets. Serious guys.
It is not only about HW and SW.......it is the "quality" of these sleeve things which is breathtaking and which are in the period of beeing tested off in different environments.

And I can tell you one thing:

It is of another world. A complete redefinition of what future references could be about.

At least I saw no reviews describing the things these combies are capable of and what they do to your listening room and yourself for that sake.

I should say that the proofs shown here is something I didn't knew excisted at all, and that I only had a dream about could they could excist as no one ever did it before.

I might talk in rittles, but better let themselves expose what it is all about when they feel ready.

My mission in this thread is merely to advice no one to start spending money and time for hopeful up-grades, as that would be a complete waste.

It is soon enough ready for anyone to be experienced.

But there is enough to do for all of us. The HW's covers from plug and play speakers and DIY, amps, to some challenges for exercising your computer skills.

IS THAT NEW? NO MAYBE NOT. BUT THE SECRETS HERE REACH FAR BEYON WHAT CAN NORMALLY BE ACHEIVED AND CHANGE THINGS IN YOUR ROOM WHICH IS HARD TO BELEIVE UNTIL YOU HEARD IT BY YOUR OWN SELF.

I AT LEAST HAVE SOMETHING TO UNDERSTAND AS I SIMPLY DIDN'T HAVE AND STILL DON'T HAVE A CLEAR DEFINITION OF HOW IT HAPPENS AND WHY.

Best regards

Steve your are bloddy rigth it's almost impossible for me. But the two guys are the right ones to address what it is and if I know them well enough, they caNot hold teight either for that long.

However it is, it's the combi of the SW and the HW they are brewing on which does the magic trick: Make both your loudspeakers and your room resonances "disappear". Isn't that spooky?

I have never heard it that way before, neither I heard so much music and so little Hi-Fi in my life.

Alohaaaaaaa

Room resonances disappear? Amazing. How that can be possible?

It is not, but it sounds like that. As if you have a 10 times bigger footprint with no room disturbances. Walk arround, sit in the sweet spot, the music is just there everywhere. Gone are the chain. Only music.

We are brewing on a theory, but it's hard to explain.

Let me give it a very very wild shot:

Once the speakers "controls" the room and not opposite, and at the same time act like one piston regardless how many drivers are involved, then the source, which in this case is the latest Vista GC, is lead to an amp like Berts, then everything is a synergy of cutting edge reproduction of what were heard from the michrophones who heard the musicians.

What can I add more? Just words.

I told it has to be experienced.....:yahoo:

Hi,

GC forgot to tell that his 300 m3 room is untreated with any damping materials and has a wooden floor.

Extremely satisfied. Still pondering how all that is possible.

The source: The player is guilty for a lot of the miracles. The amp as well. The MKII is just telling me everything.

What can possibly be better?

Oh yeah... don't have a lamp above your head but rather a pillow.

Sorry but we all have to wait...

by Bert @, Tuesday, May 15, 2007, 20:57 (6200 days ago) @ GC

...a bit longer. Time will learn and tell...

More things did change, not just GC (recent version), the coming amp but also the Orphean MkII.

All I can show at this moment is this picture...

No Bert, it is the Orphean that's changed (a lot), not the MK I or MK II as far as I understand.

Shouldn't you go to bed by now!

Okay, the Orphean but now renamed to "MkII" as this is the version that will be sold as standard version...the previous ones can be converted to the MkII also with an upgrade soon.

You are right about the enclosure, for the rest I can't tell but don't forget, it is not just about a certain chip or the principle used to make things work...

Make sure to make it a tri-amp on forehand. The next "revolutionary" step will be pc(dsp)-based digital FIR crossovers, believe me

Thanks for the hint, thought about a tri-amp and that is not an option yet but combined with a central dual mono amp as "pre-amplifier" the system can be extended to make that work after...

"Orphean MkII"

by Bert @, Friday, May 18, 2007, 00:24 (6197 days ago) @ kurt s

Hi Kurt,

When the time has come to be clear to all answers I will let you know. Won't be long now though, I need to test it in some more environments to be 100% sure that the MkII will remain the way it is now.

Who needs an MkIII or Mk+++
