Hi Peter/Bert

You and Bert are likely enjoying your new speakers tonight? And likely :drinks: :attention: :friends: GC'ing and bla-bla'ing.

All while I have been crying more and more and more...this evening.

Read this and further posts in that thread:

What now?

Short answer: Is this a show-stopper?

You owned the Signature 30 and sold it again? Why?

FWIW : I had the Tripath connected (indirectly) to the line-in of my subs. One for the left channel and one for the right channel. Note though, that this is a Y connected parasite (at line level) from the bass amp, and the bass amp was a SS (so the main amp was the T). Filter connections were as regular.

The SWINGS were playing it all.

Peter/Bert, your help please (edited)

Hi GC,

Peter and Eddie just left my studio after listening to GC with XP and Linux...

Don't ask about that in this topic please! :rules:

As I emailed you before, the Swing or other Oris based active systems using a line-level filter do NOT work the same as a mono subwoofer where both the left and right channels are connected with their ground.

Both bass systems as used with the Swing and other Oris based systems build as suggested are NOT connected through ground and even NOT through earth when using the BD30's as bass amplifier.

Should be okay. The Nuforce didn't give problems in the bass (sounded not well but that is another story), the Sonic T-amp works okay (except the sound in general) and an experiment done with the cheapest T-amp didn't give any problems either. That one sounded okay but lacked balls in the bass...

A subwoofer using both channels mixed seems to give problems, and active speaker systems like the Swing should not be a problem, if it does with the Swing and similar systems then I will create a cure for that unless the amp is totally

Ciao,

Bert

Hi GC,

... also at explaining to Hypex et al what we want, I handed them the filter's scheme, and heard nothing like a no-go upon that.

Besides that, I recall something like the UcD is not working with the 180 degrees thing, but with 90, that effectively zeroing out. Or something like that ... I'm not sure anymore how the story was.

Do not get scared.

Peter nominated 5 Oscars.

I start slowly to calm down. :biglol: :clapping: :sleepy:

Many thanks B&P. Eih... isn't that the same as BeePie? Banned and good night fellows.
It has been a very teachy day taking my e-mailing cluster bombing into account. And learning that T/D amp manufactorers doesn't know the SWING lay-out.

GC  having a second ride to Obrenovac tomorrow. I'll buy a herbal tea to the one who's guess the place where that is.
