How to incorporate Behringer 2496 as EQ? (BD-Design)
Hi Vik,
The way I use it now is to run a analog connection from my preamp to the
2496, have the 2496 do the EQ in the through an A/D conversion, then using
the 2496 D/A to output a corrected analog signal to my sub.Could I do this with the bass system of the Oris horns? I'd appreciate
anyone's input!
Yes, this can be done and I think that this is the only "good" way to EQ bass problems if re-placement of the speakers is not possible or doesn't help.
One remark though, I would add a filter (passive or passive line-level) to filter all frequencies out of the frequency range not used by the bass. Think of it as a standard system and later you can add the Behringer to "repair" room conditons.
One remark about EQ, only reduce peaks, never amplify dips...
Ciao,
Bert
