BD15 mounting (BD-Design)

Finally, I am ready to finish my Oris system. [Fingers crossed] This weekend we'll be listening!! Looking at the supplied mounting screws for the BD15, I don't think we have fasteners quite like these over here. I assume they are designed for MDF? Is there a specified pilot hole size? Can these be successfully removed and replaced without damaging the hole in the MDF, that is, can they be repetedly and firmly re-tightened? As you can see, I am a bit concerned with buggering the MDF at this late point.

While I'm here, can you describe the sonic differences between the earlier crown phase plugs and the newer transparent plugs in a AER2/150 horn?
