BD15 mounting (BD-Design)

Hi Tom,

Finally, I am ready to finish my Oris system. [Fingers crossed]

the BD15, I don't think we have fasteners quite like these over here. I
assume they are designed for MDF? Is there a specified pilot hole size?

Alan key heads are common in the US too as far as I know... there should be a tool for them available. The bolts are designed for particle board but in MDF these will do well too. You should then pre-drill with 4mm

Can these be successfully removed and replaced without damaging the hole
in the MDF, that is, can they be repetedly and firmly re-tightened? As you
can see, I am a bit concerned with buggering the MDF at this late point.

Yes, this should not be a problem as long as you do not force them too much. Its not a car you're tightening...

While I'm here, can you describe the sonic differences between the earlier
crown phase plugs and the newer transparent plugs in a AER2/150 horn?

More linear, more freedom in sound and less "dull/sharp" sounding.

Ciao,

Bert
